Kentucky, retire here?

Our family reunion is ending…at Moor’s resort on Kentucky Lake..and it has been very good…we rented 2cottages, built in2011, and very comfortable. Right on the lake…pontoon rented …fishing, a pool, and central, air, tv,,and Internet access…all make for very active and relaxed set up. Yesterday, some went to Paducah, to,the Quilt museum…we went to a nature center.
The drought has affected the area…no,corn for, sale at the markets…the tomatoes are good…but there are fields of dried up corn fields. The weather was very hot here too….
We flew to,Chicago, then to,Paducah….not,an easy trip.
The gathering was a great way for the cousins to,get to know each other better…Texas, Michigan, New Jersey and New York
We fly home tomorrow…hope our plants survived .I know the ferns will because a neighbor took care of them.
I checked out the real estate here….of course, and there are nice properties for sale….compared to New Jersey…prices are much lower. Very flat terrain…but these Kentucky lakes are beautiful.

Paducha is a charming town….maybe a good, retirement location….(not, for me-I like New Jersey..).but for those who want to get away from severe winters, and lower taxes….a possibility. Excuse all those commas…they just pop up…and it takes too
long to go over…
There were very successful, fishermen among us.
they caught about 15 fish…breakfast tomorrow!
We had a great dinner last night at a local famous place. Patti’s settlement house…huge facility…lights, antiques etc. I wrote a review,on it. See Yelp, for the details.

The,rest of the meals we cooked…and took turns for the dinner. I made a a peas and water chestnut salad…mayonnaise and sour cream, scallions and celery…and frozen peas-pretty good for a hot weather salad.
Have to be out be 10 am…..
