Working on a ‘day off’

A day in the city
With all the Internet tools, I can go yo NYC and still work!
Bus to the city, and a healthy walk to Macy’s …I had wanted to see the Flower Show.
However, this year because of all the construction, the display was in a large tent in Herald Square. Not the same…
then met an old high school friend at Chelsea Market..neat old factory-market place…between 9th and 10 th avenues and 16 th and 15 th streets…over 25 different food and “stuff” stores. A good place to suggest to our visiting exchange that arrives from the Friends of Barnet group in April. ( that’s the sister city we have with the town outside of London…and provide student and adult exchanges every year)
Then we ate at a neat Vietnamese restaurant…Ca Ba,at 110 at 9 th ave….small and delicious…good coffee too. .
..then we walked to the Highline…a park on the old elevated rail road ..from 14 th street to 30 th…at 10th avenue…overlooking the Hudson River…and old and new buildings. A great way to see the city… Trees, bushes, and a crew doing the gardening…benches..very breezy today and a great walkway.
There are several elevators and many stairway approaches…seasonal plantings, and a different kind of park.
Managed calls about a rental, a sale and an inspection issue.
Back to the office tomorrow,
